A DAY OF CHAIRS

Some chairs in my community attracted my attention afterwards. They look like the most common chair in the every family, but they are outside now. They are old and shabby, ordinary and seemed useless. There are lots of such chairs in many communities which built for ten or twenty or more years. They seems to represent a kind of absence and a kind of death in that night. And i I put forward a lot of assumptions about their users, most of which were worrying and full of sadness. So i started shoot this chairs from moring to night, try to figure out why they were outside and what happened to them.

I spent a lot of time observing and recording these chairs also the old using them. I arranged the photos in chronological order from morning to night, to invite my audience to observe a day belong to chairs with my perspective,to experience my journey.  As time progressed, these chairs changes from empty in morning to full of people in evening. And what hided behind, is old people's attitude towards their life when they are kinda near death.Their attitude dispelled my fear of aging. They choose to dance, choose to be alive, so they make useless in happiness, turn oldness into gladness.  After that , chairs changed in my mind, also the fear of empty and being old. The chairs not represent absence, they are waiting for sharinG  tomorrow's sunshine with longer life.
